Tip: Send information to Windows 2000 Pro users during logon

Windows provides two group policies that enable you to display information during the logon process. This information appears in a dialog box after the user presses [Ctrl][Alt][Delete] and before the Log On To Windows dialog box is displayed. The dialog box includes a single OK button—you specify the dialog box title and the message contents for the dialog box.
Follow these steps to modify these two group policies:

• Open the Local Policies\Security Options branch of Group Policy.
• Set the policy Message Text For Users Attempting To Log On to contain the message that you want displayed in the dialog box.
• Set the policy Message Title For Users Attempting To Log On to what you want to appear in the dialog box's title bar.
• Close the console, log off, and then log on to test the message.
